Ask anyone who's been to a Tracks Party what they remember and it's rarely the prizes or the merch. It's the bands, the crowd and the feeling of a whole surf town packed into one room. The Tracks Party Tour is back for 2026/27, a 10-leg national run kicking off in October 2026 and wrapping up in May 2027, and it's shaping up to be the biggest one yet.
What is the Tracks Party Tour?
To understand the tour, you have to understand Tracks. The magazine started life in 1970 as a counterculture broadsheet on Sydney's Northern Beaches and has since become the most-published surf magazine in the world, with more than 600 issues behind it.
The party tour first rolled through pubs and surf clubs in the early 2000s and became a regular fixture for a generation of surfers, before going quiet for close to eight years. It returned in 2024 and proved the appetite was still there. By 2025 it had more than doubled to 10 stops, timed around major surf events like the Rip Curl Pro at Bells, Newcastle Surfest, the Noosa Festival of Surfing and the Snapper Pro, with several shows selling out within weeks.
Surfing has always had a soundtrack. At its core, the tour celebrates the sub-cultures that have always sat alongside surfing, especially music, pairing nostalgia for the rebellious energy Tracks has stood for since the 1970s with a stage for the bands and DJs carrying that spirit today.
The venues matter too. The tour lands in iconic surf towns, in the kind of places that have anchored surf communities for generations, from Surf Life Saving Clubs to the old pubs and bowls clubs every local knows. These aren't arenas. They're the rooms where surf communities actually gather.

Who's playing?
The tour kicks off close to home for us. The first leg hits Bombies at the Harbord Hotel on 17 October with Daily J, Surf Trash, The Darrans and Cross Pollinate, then rolls into Kurnell Rec Club the following weekend with Dune Rats, The Good Kids, Ghazza and Goon Bag. Lineups for the remaining stops are being released in bunches with Dune Rats also announced as the headliner at Brunswick Heads on the 6th November supported by surfing royalty in Kyuss and Rasmus King’s Headsend band.
Past Tracks Parties have featured acts including Rum Jungle, Pacific Avenue, Goons of Doom, Surf Trash, Letters To Lions and Beddy Rays. Manly of these may feature again this tour.
Every show features four bands, with tickets ranging from $40 to $80 depending on the location, lineup and how early you buy tickets. That's a full night of live music for less than the price of a single headline gig at most venues. Shows are 18+, with a festival feel and giveaways from the tour's partners on the night. Every ticket holder also goes into the draw for an Ampd Bros e-bike worth $3k!
